emBlogz @ BiNus has become a part of my daily routine. Aside from running a small business and exploring the joys of fatherhood, my dedication to the pursuit of scientific knowledge has always reminded me of the importance of education. Whether it be research or lectures, it is no surprise that I end up spending most of my time on-campus at the Marketing Communication Department, Communication and Multimedia Faculty of Binus University. Campus life is always enticing because knowledge becomes a commodity available for all.

Several fields of studies attracted, influenced and shaped my view of contemporary life:

Technology. Culture. Business. Politics.

While the advancement of technology reshapes our way of lives, our basic tendencies for a sense of order are maintained through our practices of culture. Within the stability of isolated cultures, urban cultures and organizational cultures alike rise a sense of order that increasingly stimulates social change. Technological advancements, politics and public policies often become a stimulus for social change as it exponentially affects communication, transportation and social perspectives. Since the fall of communism, businesses flourished to a point where capitalism has gone unchecked. As a result, the global economy has been victimized and societies must once again reflect on past judgments to begin a new order in this post-capitalist world.

This site is dedicated to these contemporary issues which surrounds us within a social-economic perspective.
